How to repair non-structural hair crack

Hair crack are non-structural cracks that occurs mainly on the concrete surface, not through & through the concrete member.
Shrinkage crack are also non-structural cracks that occurs due to lack of curing for sufficient amount of time after casting of the concrete members.

Repairing methodology for Non-structural hair crack:

·        First, using chisel we have to cut a V grove throughout the length of the crack with a width around 25 mm & depth as required depending upon the extent of crack.
·        The chiseled-out part shall fill with crack filling mortar such as Sika Crack seal acrylic paste.

However, any crack repair work should be executed as per the engineer in-charge Approval from the structural engineer / consultant shall also be taken before commencing.
